BACKGROUND: THE INSTITUTE’S FOUNDERDr. Laura Crawshaw received her master's degree in clinical social work from the Smith College School for Social Work and conducted postgraduate studies at the Seattle Institute for Psychoanalysis and the Harvard Community Health Plan. She subsequently completed a second master's degree and her Ph.D. in Human & Organizational Systems at Fielding Graduate University. She founded the Executive Insight Development Group to coach abrasive leaders in 1994, and The Boss Whispering Institute in 2008. With over thirty years' experience as a psychotherapist, corporate officer, executive coach, researcher, and author, Dr. Crawshaw is known as The Boss Whisperer®, focusing her research and practice on the reduction of workplace suffering caused by abrasive leaders. Dr. Crawshaw is a member of the International Society for the Psychoanalytic Study of Organizations, the American Psychological Association, the British Psychological Society, the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council, the International Association on Bullying and Harassment at Work, and the International Coach Federation. She is also a Founding Fellow of the Institute of Coaching at McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate. |
